Obituary
Michael Eugene Boos, affectionately known as Mike to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, in his hometown of Topeka, Kansas, where he was also born on March 21, 1949. Mike's life was marked by his enduring sense of humor, his adventurous spirit, and his remarkable handiness, traits that endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
As a dedicated family man, Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ginny Boos, and his son, Bob Boos. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter with his daughters, Bonnie Stang-Boos and Leslie Patterson; his grandchildren, Bret (Glau) Arganbright, Ashley (Brad) Arganbright, Chelsea (Gisela) Jenks, and Luke (Lauren) Parnell; and his five great-grandchildren.
Mike was the cherished son of the late Edgar Jacob Boos and Mary Agnes (Stein) Boos. His memory will be honored by his siblings, Pamela M. Johnston (Pam), Clemens A. Boos (Clem), Raymond R. Boos (Ray), Annette Hackett, Mary A. Burns, Amelia Paredes (Amy), Lawrence J. Boos (Larry), and Steven R. Boos (Steve). He now joins his brothers, Edgar Joseph Boos, Gary Lee Boos, and Timothy Boos, who predeceased him.
Mike's professional life was marked by over 30 years of dedicated service at Ed Marling's, where he retired as a respected Warehouse Supervisor. His colleagues remember him as a man who brought not only his strong work ethic to the job but also his infectious laughter and a willingness to lend a hand whenever needed.
Mike's love for life was evident in his hobbies, which included fishing, rattlesnake hunting, and watching Westerns. He was also known for his love of good food, often sharing meals and laughter with family and friends.
The family will receive friends beginning 9:00 AM, Tuesday December 16, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 312 Freeman Avenue, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Following Mass, a graveside service for Michael "Mike" Boos will begin approximately at 11:20 AM at the Mt. Calvary Holy Trinity Mausoleum, 801 SW Westchester Rd, Topeka, KS.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart - St. Joseph Catholic Parish. Contributions may be left at the church or mailed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 312 NE Freeman Avenue, Topeka KS 66616.
