<p><p>LC Smith, age 71, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on March 9, 2026, in East Ridge, Tennessee.</p><br> <p>He was born on April 1, 1954, in Courtland, Alabama, to Mattie Mosley Fuqua and the late Charles Smith.</p><br> <p>LC Smith was a graduate of Fisk University, Class of 1977, where he played football and formed lifelong friendships.</p><br> <p>He spent many years working with the City of Decatur, Alabama in Youth Services, dedicating his time to supporting and guiding young people in the community.</p><br> <p>He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Smith; his mother, Mattie Mosley Fuqua; and his siblings Carl Smith, Vinnie Smith-Roberts, Ernestine Smith-Lovelace (James), and Anita Lockhart.</p><br> <p>He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Smith, and his sister, Susie Smith-Robinson.</p><br> <p>He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.</p><br> <p>LC Smith will be remembered by those who knew and loved him, and his memory will live on through the many lives he touched.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> </p>
