<p><p>John Richmond passed peacefully after a lengthy illness on Easter Sunday with family surrounding him.</p><p>John is predeceased by his father Gerald and sister Carol. And his golf buddy, Don.</p><p>John will be deeply missed by his family: partner Stephanie, daughter Kristin and John, grand-daughter Hazel and mother, Marilyn. Survived by his sister, Barb, cousin Mike, brother-in-law Scott Houlton, and many amazing nephews and nieces.</p><p>John loved his Harley and was proud of his patch covered leather vest. He loved hockey until he became so disappointed by the Leafs that he didn’t watch anymore. He loved to try to play golf. He always chose Steph as his partner on the pool table. John had over the top organizational skills as observed by anyone entering his basement domain or garage. And his collections! John built trusses since he was 15 and assisted his Dad with many projects around the family’s Byron Ave, Thamesford home.</p><p>Family expresses sincere gratitude to the Oxford emergency services for their compassionate and professional support. As well, to all the medical professionals that assisted in his care, and especially the crew at Woodstock Hospital CCU.</p><p>Friends and family will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Chapel of the Glendinning Funeral Home, 246 Thames St. S. Ingersoll on Saturday April 11, 2026, from 10am to 11am. A Memorial service will be conducted in the Chapel at 11am..</p><p>Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice would be welcome. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p></p>

John Richmond passed peacefully after a lengthy illness on Easter Sunday with family surrounding him.

John is predeceased by his father Gerald and sister Carol. And his golf buddy, Don.
