Born in Columbus County, NC., she was the daughter of the late Albert Dow Watts and Edith Soles Watts.</p><br> <p>She was the widow of Ralph Livingston Grainger.</p><br> <p>She is survived by her three children, Steve L. Grainger of Green Sea, SC., Kitty Granger Coleman of Little River, SC., Gina Grainger Cartrette of Tabor City, NC., five grandchildren, Carson Casoli, Lindsey Grainger, Jesse G. Grainger, Ashleigh Cox (Jonathan), Paige Strickland (Bradley), five great-grandchildren; Jack Cox, Collins Cox, Saylor Strickland, Blakely Strickland, and Tatum Strickland.</p><br> <p>In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melody Grainger, six brothers, Bill Watts, Ted Watts, Dale Watts, Ned Watts, Ronald Watts, Don Watts. Four sisters, Virginia Long, Betty Ward, Peggy Currie, Phyllis Althen.</p><br> <p>Visitation will be held Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.</p><br> <p>Graveside service will be held Friday, April 17, 2026 at 11:00am in Carolina Cemetery, Green Sea, SC.</p><br> <p>A service of Inman Ward Funeral Home &amp; Crematory of Tabor City.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> </p>

Doris Watts Grainger age 97, of the Carolina Community, Green Sea, SC. Born in Columbus County, NC., she was the daughter of the late Albert Dow Watts and Edith Soles Watts.


She was the widow of Ralph Livingston Grainger.


She is survived by her three children, Steve L.
