<p><p>Gary Kaye Bilderback, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at his home.</p><p><br></p><p>Born on March 8, 1943, in Memphis, Tennessee, Gary was the son of the late Ollion and Marie Bilderback. A proud Tipton County native and a true Southern gentleman, Gary dedicated his life to farming. In his early years, he farmed cotton, and later grew corn, soybeans, and wheat, building a lifelong career rooted in hard work and love for the land.</p><p><br></p><p>Gary was deeply involved in his agricultural community. He served as Director of the Tipton Farmers Co-Op and was a member of the Board of Directors for Production Credit, contributing his knowledge and leadership to support fellow farmers throughout the region.</p><p><br></p><p>Known for his tender heart and genuine kindness, Gary was loved by all who knew him. He had a quiet strength and warmth that made him truly one of a kind.</p><p>He was a lifelong member of Garland United Methodist Church and, in recent years, attended Elm Grove United Methodist Church, where he remained devoted to his faith and church family.</p><p><br></p><p>Gary also proudly served his country in the National Guard.</p><p><br></p><p>In his later years, Gary found great joy in spending time with his partner, Sherri Bailey, and dear friends, Danny Waits and Kathy Forrester. Together, they made many cherished memories traveling, dining, and experiencing new joys in life.</p><p><br></p><p>Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Bilderback; his sons, William Scott Bilderback and Cary Kyle Bilderback; and his maternal grandparents, Amanda and Jones Glass.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his partner, Sherri Bailey; his lifelong friend, Danny Waits; his close friend, Kathy Forrester; and his daughter, Allie Bilderback, along with her two children, his cherished grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Elm Grove United Methodist Church.</p><p>Gary’s legacy of hard work, kindness, and devotion to family and community will be remembered always.</p><p><br></p><p>A visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home, with the service to begin at 12:00 p.m.</p><p><br></p><p>Burial will follow at Covington Memorial Gardens.</p></p>
