Pamela "Pam" Mae Powers

Pamela Mae Powers, lovingly known as “Pam,” passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy defined by her strength, love, and unwavering devotion to those around her.

Pam was born in 1958 in Helena, Montana, the middle child of Diane and Harold. The family moved to Bozeman when she was 3 years old where she made many lifelong friends. She attended Hawthorne Elementary and graduated from Bozeman Senior High in 1976.

Pam shared a close and lasting bond with her siblings, cousins, and friends, and she was absolutely her father’s daughter. She was the proud mother of Kane, the center of her world and a constant source of pride and joy.

Pam was a straight shooter—honest, direct, and genuine—qualities that earned her the respect and trust of those around her. She would try anything once, (or maybe twice) and had a wild sense of humor. Always the practical joker, you never knew what she was up to next. What you did know was that she was always there for you and wanted everyone to feel welcomed and loved.

Pam was a hard worker starting at a young age. She was a much sought after babysitter, leaving a lasting impression on the kids in her care. Pam’s other family was those working at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital, where she dedicated the last 20 years of her working life. She was known there for her strong work ethic, kindness, sense of humor and the connections she made with both her colleagues and those she served.

Family was everything to Pam. She treasured the time spent with those she loved most, finding joy in simple moments, shared laughter, and lasting connections. Pam’s pride and joy was her grandson, Braylon, who brought her immense happiness and whose life she cherished deeply.

She shared an especially deep and meaningful relationship with her daughter-in-law, Kara Urdahl, whom she loved as her own. Their bond was one of mutual respect, trust, and genuine affection—one that added even more strength and closeness to their family.

Pam is lovingly remembered by her son, Kane; her daughter-in-law, Kara Urdahl; and her grandson, Braylon Urdahl; along with her siblings, Kim and Jeff, and the many extended family members and dear friends whose lives she touched so deeply.

Though she will be greatly missed, Pam’s spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She lived with integrity, spoke from the heart, and stood firm in her values while always showing care and understanding.

A celebration of Pam’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share the stories that made her so special.
July 28, 1958 - May 7, 202607/28/195805/07/2026
