Danielle C. Tierney
<p>Danielle C. Tierney (Poulin), 43, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 20, at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife and best friend of Patrick J. Tierney, with whom she shared 14 wonderful years of marriage.</p><p><br></p><p>Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Laurence G. and Kathleen A. (Williams) Poulin of West Warwick. Danielle was a resident of West Warwick and had previously resided in Warwick. Danielle was a graduate of Rhode Island College and worked as a teacher’s assistant at Horgan Elementary School in West Warwick, RI. She was also a dedicated employee at Dave’s Market in East Greenwich, RI and volunteered as a technical director in public access television for twenty years. Danielle had a passion for physical fitness and worked out regularly at LA Fitness. She was a top five finalist in the National Miss Health & Fitness Contest in 2025.</p><p><br></p><p>Besides her husband and parents, she leaves her cherished sister, Alicia A. Poulin of West Warwick. She was a devoted aunt to Aiden Brooks, Maci Brooks, and Xander Cabral; loving daughter-in-law of Dick and Jane Tierney; and sister-in-law of Molly Dangelo and her husband, AJ. She also leaves several dear aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.</p><p>Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church, 130 Legris Avenue, West Warwick, on Wednesday, May 27, at 10:00 a.m. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations in Danielle’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
