Thomas Robert Warner

Thomas R. Warner, age 75, of Brookfield, passed away peacefully at home on his own terms on Saturday, July 4, 2026, after a unique battle with aggressive cancer. Throughout this time, he remained incredibly optimistic, showing everyone around him the true meaning of strength. Tom was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and enjoyed uniting with his church family. His family now entrusts him into God’s loving care.

Tom grew up in Milwaukee and was a proud graduate of Washington High School and MATC. Tom developed a flawless work ethic beginning at McDonalds, dedicating over 37 years to Globe Union/Johnson Controls/C&D Technologies, and building the Brookfield Wedding Cakes brand working tirelessly alongside Susan for over 37 years. Over the years, he lent his sharp communication and engineering skills to solve any problem that arose.

Following his career years, he built a vibrant retirement centered around family, hobbies and friends. He shared over 55 beautiful years of marriage with his wife, Susan, who was his absolute best caregiver and dedicated herself to his comfort and happiness. Tom was truly the best Dad and Grandpa his family could have ever asked for. Grandpa was one of his favorite hats to wear and he prided himself on never missing one of the grandchildren’s activities or performances. Known as the ultimate go-to, Tom loved to jump in and offer assistance to anyone in a time of need.

A true sportsman at heart, Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, metal detecting, and biking. Tom loved gardening, mowing the lawn and even enjoyed the sport of weed elimination. Tom had a passion for Craigslist and loved socializing as a buyer and a seller. He was extremely resourceful and enjoyed uniting people with their treasures.

He is the beloved husband of Susan Warner (nee Moeller). Loving father of Amy (Christopher) Sosnay, and Jennifer (Jordan) Jones. Cherished grandfather of Jack Sosnay, Harry Sosnay, Abigail Jones, and Griffin Jones. Dear brother of Sandra (Mark) Roggow, and brother-in-law of Bill and Kathy Moeller. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Bob Warner and his sister, Nancy.

He will be greatly missed every single day. Family and friends are invited to gather to share stories, and relive the memories Tom left behind.

Celebration of Life Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 4-7 pm at Harder Funeral Home, 18700 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield. Visitation on Monday July 13, 2026 from 10-11 am with service to follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Great Memorial Building, Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W Capitol Drive, Brookfield.
