In Loving Memory of Timothy S. Scheminant

      With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Timothy “Timmy” S. Scheminant, who entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the age of 41.

      Born on May 18, 1985, in South Baltimore, Maryland, Timothy was the beloved son of Theresa “Terri” Parsley-Womersley, wife of Gary Womersley. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Frances Parsley.

      He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Alan Scheminant, whom we trust welcomed him with love. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Joyce Scheminant, and his brother, Kevin Scheminant.

      Timothy was the father of Timothy Ryker Scheminant, age 7, and Kaely Marie Scheminant, age 4, whom he loved dearly. He will be lovingly remembered by their mothers, Ashley Gnacyk (T.R.S.) and Jasmine Welzel (K.M.S.).

      In addition to his mother and children, Timothy’s legacy will also live on in the hearts of his brother, Nicholas Ryan Hackney, and his cherished niece and nephew, Hannah Elizabeth Hackney and Nathan Hunter Hackney.

      Tim dedicated many years of faithful service to the United States Postal Service, where his strong work ethic and commitment led him to serve as a Postmaster. His career reflected his determination, and he took pride in the responsibilities entrusted to him.

      Those who knew “Timmy” also remember the warmth and humor that would shine through during brighter moments. He possessed a vibrant personality that could fill a room with laughter, and beneath the hardships he endured was a man who loved his family and friends more deeply than he often knew how to express.

      We remember Timothy as a beloved child of God, worthy of compassion, mercy, and enduring love.  He was a son, a brother, a father, and a friend whose life mattered deeply and whose absence leaves an immeasurable void.  As Catholics, we place our hope in Jesus Christ, whose Divine Mercy is greater than every human weakness, suffering, and sorrow. We entrust Timothy into the loving arms of our Savior, praying that he now finds the peace that so often eluded him in this life.

      Family and friends are invited to honor Timothy’s life on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Gonce Funeral Service, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, Maryland 21122. Visitation will be held from 3:00–5:00 p.m. and again from 7:00–9:00 p.m. Family prayers will be offered at 7:30 p.m.

      As we grieve this heartbreaking loss, we ask all who knew Tim to remember him not for the burdens he carried, but for the person God created him to be. The greatest gift you can offer is your continued prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul, for comfort and healing for all who mourn him, and especially for his beloved children, that they may always know they are loved, supported, and surrounded by God’s grace.

      “Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.”
