<p>Mary K. Steinmetz, 71 passed away Sunday, July 5th 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.</p><p><br></p><p>She was a retired community outreach coordinator for Entech, a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a friend by all who knew her.</p><p><br></p><p>Preceding Mary in death are her parents, Alvin and Dorothy Wolf; and a sister, Connie Rowland.</p><p><br></p><p>Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 52 years, Mike Steinmetz; children, Chrissy Stitt, Abby Gassman (Adam), and Tim Steinmetz (Meredith); grandchildren, Avery Gassman, Anderson Gassman, Hunter Steinmetz, and Wylder Steinmetz; and a sister, Susan Lawrence.</p><p><br></p><p>Mary’s celebration of life Mass will be held, 10 a.m. Friday, July 10th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 7335 Southside Drive with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday, July 9th at Joseph E. Ratterman &amp; Son Funeral Home, 7336 Southside Drive.</p><p><br></p><p>Expressions of sympathy may be made to Mariposa Place, 1520 Baxter Ave., Louisville, KY 40205.</p><p><br></p>

She was a retired community outreach coordinator for Entech, a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a friend by all who knew her.
