<p><p style="text-align: justify">Tina Louise (Hoot) McGowan, 63, passed away unexpectedly on Monday July 6, 2026.</p><br> <p style="text-align: justify">She was born August 22, 1962 in South Bend, Indiana, to Dale F. & Patricia J. (Otwell) Hoot who both proceed in death. Tina graduated from LaSalle High School in 1980 where she was a member of the marching and pep bands. Her career path took many turns but most notably in medical offices but ending at Ivy Tech’s South Bend Campus in the Bursar’s office.</p><br> <p style="text-align: justify">Tina enjoyed decorating cakes for the family’s special occasions as well as friends and coworkers. She grew up loving the outdoors. While not having any children of her own, she took the job of Aunt very seriously. She enjoyed teaching her nieces and nephews to fish, swim, throw a ball, but most of all creating mischief. She was once asked to leave Kmart for riding bikes in the back of the store.</p><br> <p style="text-align: justify">Tina is survived by her sisters Gayle M. Crocker, Peggy S. (Charles) Good and Marcie A. Huff, nieces and nephews Ashley Huff, Amanda (Aaron) Phillips, Adam Huff, Ian (Ashley) Crocker, Joel (Lauren) Crocker, Jacob Good as well as her great nieces and nephews Teagan J. Huff-Wigfall, Nakova Crocker, Mia Crocker, Kennedy R. Huff, Jaxson R. Huff, Lenora J. Phillips, Oliver J. Phillips and Audrey R. Phillis. Proceeded in death were nephews Eric R Crocker, Harrison E Phillips and Riley J Huff.</p><br> <p style="text-align: justify">A Celebration of Life with be held at a later date to allow family to make arrangements. </p><br> <p style="text-align: justify">Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
