Norma J. Coonrod
<p><p>Norma J. Coonrod, 59, of Oneida, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Oneida Health Hospital where she had been a patient for the past two weeks.</p><p><br></p><p>She was born on January 24, 1967, in Oneida, the daughter of Reginald and Diane (Buss) Jordan. She attended Oneida schools.</p><p><br></p><p>Norma dedicated thirteen years of service as a dispatcher for Vineall Ambulance.</p><p><br></p><p>Norma’s greatest joy in life came from her family, and there was no title she cherished more than being “Nanny.” She loved every moment spent with her family and took great pride in watching the lives they built. Family was truly her greatest accomplishment and the center of her world.</p><p><br></p><p>Norma had a caring and selfless heart, always putting the needs of others before her own. Whether it was offering support, sharing a laugh, or simply being present, she had a way of making those around her feel loved and cared for.</p><p><br></p><p>She treasured her special “sister-time,” creating memories filled with conversation, laughter, and love. She also looked forward to family game nights, where the joy came not only from the games played but from being surrounded by the people who meant the most to her.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving besides her dad, Reginald; are her five children, Adam Coonrod, of Oneida, Brandy Coonrod, of Vernon, Patricia Coonrod (Chris Nicotera) of Whitesboro, Tiffany Coonrod of Rome; and Barbra (Paul) Miller, of Cicero; nine grandchildren, Savannah, Alexys, Bryce, Makyah, Bentley, Cody Jr., Gabriel, Leighvy, and Gavin; her brother, David (Chrissy) Partridge, of Taberg; four sisters, Lisa (Fred) Rhinehardt, of Waterloo, Michelle Jordan, of Sherrill, Regina Jordan, of Chittenango, and Nicole Jordan, of Oneida; a sister-in-law, Teresa Partridge, of Wampsville; a brother-in-law, Mark Dunning of Oneida Castle; and many nieces and nephews. Norma was predeceased by her mother, Diane Jordan on May 18, 2026; a brother, Donald Partridge Jr., on January 3, 2024; two sisters, Kathleen Dunning on March 28, 2026, and Tracy Ann Jordan; a niece, Samantha Partridge; and a dear friend, Sherry Ford Snyder on December 29, 2021.</p><p><br></p><p>A Celebration of Norma’s Life will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Oneida American Legion, 398 N. Main St., Oneida. All are welcome to celebrate Norma’s life. Memorial contributions may be made in Norma’s memory to the American Lung Association.
