<p><b>Virginia Jean Reed</b></p><p><b>June 13, 1945 - July 6, 2026</b></p><p><i><br></i></p><p>Virginia Jean Reed, 81, of Papillion, Nebraska, passed away on July 6, 2026. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, to George Reed and Virginia Battaglia.</p><p><br></p><p>Virginia was a shining star to everyone who knew her, a deeply spiritual woman with a warm and generous heart, an amazing sense of humor, and an unquestioned positive outlook on everything. Writing was second nature to her; if there was a surface to write on, she wrote on it, capturing her thoughts and reflections wherever inspiration struck. She held a profound love for nature, especially waterfalls and flowers, and found peace and wonder in the world around her. A devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan, she cheered them on with the same enthusiasm she brought to everything she loved.</p><p><br></p><p>Family, to Virginia, was never about blood. It was about who showed up. And so many did. She gave her love freely to those who chose her as their own, and who chose her right back. That love will carry on in all of them.</p><p><br></p><p>A funeral service will be held on July 15, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska, to celebrate Virginia’s life and legacy.</p><p><i><b><br></b></i></p><p><i><b>Virginia will be remembered for her bright spirit, her gentle wisdom, and the love she gave so freely to everyone around her.
