<p><p>Thomas Leroy Horner, 85, of Jefferson, MD passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 10, 2026.</p><p>Born on February 25, 1941, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Leroy "Sam" Jacob Horner and Florence Katherine (Chipley) Horner.</p><p>Tom was the devoted and loving husband of Barbara E. Horner. Together they shared 67 years of marriage, celebrating their anniversary on June 20.</p><p>He is also survived by his children, Tamara Smith, Ronda Winn (Mike), Douglas Horner (Lisa) and Bradley Horner (Virginia); 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Lavanna Nester (Franklin); and numerous nieces and nephews.</p><p>He was predeceased by a brother, Samuel Horner.</p><p>Tom dedicated 40 years of service to Ausherman Homes, where he worked as a skilled carpenter, supervisor and project manager before his retirement. His craftsmanship and strong work ethic reflected the pride he took in his profession.</p><p>In his free time, Tom enjoyed woodworking and was a faithful fan of the Baltimore Orioles. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.</p><p>Family and friends are invited to visit from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main Street, Woodsboro.</p><p>A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, at the funeral home. His nephew, Deacon Darrell Smith, will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt.
