<p>Graveside services for Kathy Lynn Fortenberry, 59, of Newellton, will be held at 1:00PM, Monday, July 13, 2026, at Turkey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery near Gilbert with Rev. Clyde Dearman officiating. Interment will directly follow under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Visitation will be from 12:00PM until time of service at the church.</p><p><br></p><p>Kathy was born on July 25, 1966, in Monroe, LA and passed from this life on July 9, 2026, in Monroe, LA. Kathy loved the Lord with all her heart and was a member of Flowers Landing Baptist Church. She became a Registered Nurse and took great pride in the care of her patients. She had a love for animals, especially horses. She was a true cowgirl. Kathy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her father, James Fortenberry, Sr; sister, Tammy Rena Fortenberry; maternal grandparents, James and Louise Prather; paternal grandparents, Robert and Odell Fortenberry.</p><p><br></p><p>Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, June Prather Fortenberry; brother, James Fortenberry, Jr. and wife Susan; nephew, James Eli Fortenberry; niece, Evelyn Eileen Fortenberry; she is also survived by her extended family and many friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Those honoring Kathy as pallbearers are James Eli Fortenberry, James Logan Cain, Eddie Foster, Hunter Jones, Forrest Hicks, Heath Herring.</p><p><br></p>
