<p>Ralph A. Ammon, 79, of Wellsville, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, July 11, 2026, following a lengthy illness.</p><p><br></p><p>Born on June 26, 1947, in East Liverpool, Ralph was the son of the late Roy and Pearl (Stiner) Ammon.</p><p><br></p><p>Ralph dedicated many years of his life working on the barges at the Wellsville Terminal, where he was known for his strong work ethic and friendly nature. Outside of work, he found his greatest peace along the creek with a fishing pole in hand. An avid fisherman, Ralph cherished the simple joys of nature and the time he spent outdoors.</p><p><br></p><p>More than anything, Ralph will be remembered for his vibrant personality. He was bubbly, full of life, and rarely without a smile. His cheerful greeting of "Hey Baby" became his trademark, bringing laughter and warmth to family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know him. His kind heart, infectious spirit, and unmistakable sense of humor will leave a lasting impression on all whose lives he touched.</p><p><br></p><p>Ralph is survived by his son, Ralph Ammon (Misty); his daughters, Candy Ammon and Sally Ammon; the mother of his children, Leila Skidmore; his beloved grandchildren, Breanna Ammon, Katrina Thompson, Casey Carter, Sky-Lynn Carter, Myah Stacey, Noah Stacey, Courtney Jones, Britney Jones, Brooke Carrasco, Stephanie Jones, Cameron Ammon, and Alexus Ammon; numerous great-grandchildren; and his loving companion, Debra Andrews.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel.&nbsp;</p>
