<p>Rose Faccenda, 94, of Dobbs Ferry, New York, passed away on July 11, 2026.</p><p><br></p><p>Born Rose Kelly on March 11, 1932, in Sixmilecross, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, she was the eldest child of the late John and Margaret (McGarvey) Kelly. In 1957, Rose left her native Ireland for New York City, and on April 30, 1962, she proudly became a naturalized citizen of the United States. It was in New York that she met Nicholas Faccenda of Providence, Rhode Island, and the two were married on January 30, 1965, beginning a devoted partnership that lasted nearly six decades. Her beloved husband, Nick, preceded her in death on January 12, 2024.</p><p><br></p><p>A longtime resident of Dobbs Ferry, Rose was known and loved for her warmth and generosity. She had a gift for creating with her hands, finding joy in knitting, sewing, crocheting, and tending her garden. Above all, Rose will be remembered for always being there for others — a steady, caring presence for her family, friends, and community.</p><p><br></p><p>Rose is survived by her three daughters, Katherine Rose Faccenda of Pleasantville, NY; Kelly Maria McKenna and her husband Joseph of Somers, NY; and Karen Ann Faccenda-Healy and her husband Jeremiah “Jerry” of Bethel, CT. She was a cherished grandmother to Jeremiah “JB,” Aidan, and Joseph Dylon, and a loving great-grandmother to Jeremiah and the late Charlotte “Charlie,” who passed away on October 24, 2025.</p><p><br></p><p>She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank, Michael, Eugene, and Terence Kelly, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made in Rose’s memory to <a href="//sh-olp.com/give" title="Sacred Heart Church" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Sacred Heart Church</a>, Dobbs Ferry, NY.</p><p><br></p>
