Obituary
Betty Bauer passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, at Havenwood Senior Living in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The love of her life, her husband John, was by her side.
Betty was born during a snowstorm on her family's farm in Weston, Wisconsin, to Earl and Leola Anderson.
After she graduated from Elmwood High School in 1958, she moved to the Twin Cities where she met her future husband, John Bauer. They were married on July 27, 1963. They lived in Eagan, Minnesota for over 35 years where they raised their family. She worked for Normark/Rapala for over 25 years.
Betty and John primarily split time between a farm in Oldham, South Dakota and Tucson, Arizona for the last twenty plus years of her life. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren on their visits to the farm and going to their sporting and school events. She lovingly tended to a small herd of cats in Oldham. Betty loved traveling with John. They explored most of the United States and traveled as far away as Australia and New Zealand.
Betty is survived by John Bauer, her husband of 63 years, son Doug Bauer (Kay), daughter Carla McKim (Kirk), and grandchildren Catriona McKim and Liam McKim.
She is preceded by her parents; three children: Paul, Paula and Barbara, and two siblings.
