Viola Miles Richey

Viola Miles Richey age 97 of Higdon, AL died Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Dade Health and Rehab.  Funeral services are Monday, July 13, 2026 at 12 Noon EST at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Brian Vann officiating.  Burial will follow in Kenemore Cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 11 AM EST until service time.

Viola was born June 24, 1929 in Higdon, AL to parents, Jay Nicholas and Eunice Cagle Miles.  She was a member of Higdon Baptist Church where she enjoyed cooking for fellowship meals.  She was a housewife and spent some time working in the flower business, but her favorite past time was "sleeping". 

Survivors include daughter, Diane Casseday, son, Eddie Richey(Gina), grandchildren, Rebecca Bowen(Johnny), Jamie Casseday(Pam), Angie Holloway(Jeremy), Rebekah Richey(Tiffany), Serria Adkins(Kyle)great-grandchildren, Tristan Bowen(McKay), Ashly Casseday, Alston Casseday(Devan), Charlee Casseday, Cade Holloway, Aubrey Holloway, Kyllie Adkins, Tyde Adkins, River Adkins, great great-grandchildren, Nora and Lainey Casseday, brothers, Ivan Miles(Charlotte), J W Miles, Mike Miles(Cindy) along with several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, C J Richey, sisters, Becky Dobbins, Geneva Blevins, and brother, Ples Miles.
