<p>Stan Partee went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 2, 2026.</p><p><br></p><p>First viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026, from 9am to 9pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Second viewing continues Thursday, August 6th, 2026, from 9am to 9pm at the funeral home. The family will receive guests on Wednesday August 5th, 2026, 6pm to 8pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, August 7th, 2026, at the First Methodist Church of Big Spring. Private Family burial to follow.</p><p><br></p><p>Stan was born in Seminole, Texas on April 6, 1956 to Kenneth and Jerrie Partee. He and his brothers and sisters moved around West Texas for a while and finally settled in Brownwood, Texas and owned Lewis’s boat dock. Stan and his family loved being on the lake and loved being close to his family. He learned to love everything about the lake and lake life which he continued to love for the rest of his life. After a severe drouth forced the family to move, they moved to Big Spring, Texas where Stan thrived and met lifelong friends through athletics and Boy Scouts. Stan became an Eagle Scout with the rest of Dr. Clyde Thomas’s troop and lifelong bonds were made between the boys who all became Eagle Scouts and those friendships remain today and have always been a very special part of his life.</p><p><br></p><p>Stan was an all-American Football player who loved the sport at Big Spring High School where he met the love of his life Sue, and the feeling was mutual. The two felt like they had known each other forever and remained that way for all their life together partners and friends and bound together by love and soul mates who shared a lifetime of adventures, laughter and love.</p><p><br></p><p>They brought two wonderful children into this world who he adored and was so very proud of, Jordan Partee and Mindy Partee. Jordan met and married Kristen who Stan loved like a daughter and loved how she loved family and bonded through the love of family. Jordan and Kristen brought more love into his life with the births of Vivian and Henry the sunshine of his life and the Center of his universe. Mindy married Ben Bumgarner who Stan loved and bonded with through his love of guns. Ben brought Cecelia into his life who joined the other two loves of his universe, making three grandchildren who he loved unconditionally and was always so proud of them in every accomplishment in their life.</p><p><br></p><p>He was a self-made and courageous businessman. Stan was a true entrepreneur at heart. He began drilling wells doing his own engineering, mud logging and geology completing and producing them and then started Partee Drilling and Partee Enterprises and The Doit Center, and other companies that he expanded his business interests to include developing residential neighborhoods. Utmost of all he loved drilling and producing wells. While still preserving the pristine beauty of the land and protecting the water table all while gambling on himself. As his company grew with time, he grew his office into an extended family with emphasis on family first and working together to make a great team for all his ventures.</p><p><br></p><p>Stan loved his family and friends fiercely and was loyal and always there through thick and thin for everyone in his life whether they were brought there through blood or friendship, he loved his extended family the same as his blood family and protected both.</p><p><br></p><p>Stan was a member of various clubs and organizations and loved his college alma mater of Texas Tech and his team the Dallas cowboys through thick and thin loyal to them always. He was a member of the Methodist church of Big Spring and loved his church and church family. A man of principles and loyalty and a Christian who showed us not through words always but through actions and deeds showing us how a Christian man showed his love of Jesus. He followed his teachings through his quiet actions and helping others and never wanting to take credit for all the good he did for so many people and always staying out of the spotlight.</p><p><br></p><p>Stan is survived by his loving wife, children and grandchildren, his sister Carletta Knappe, his brother Alan Partee and his wife Della, his sister Tonya Davis and her husband Bobby. Stan is survived by many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.</p><p><br></p><p>His brother Tony Partee preceded him in death, and brother-in-law Carl Knappe, and his parents who he lost early.</p><p><br></p><p>Stan will be sorely missed by all of us and was the rock and soul of our family, but we will always follow his examples of love, respect, loyalty, family and faith for the rest of our lives until we meet again.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home of Big Spring.
