<p> Obituary</p><p><br></p><p>Kenneth Eugene Nelson was born August 18th, 1943 to Calvin Joseph Nelson and Jeannette Elizabeth</p><p>(White) Nelson in San Antonio, Texas. He departed this life on August 15th, 2026. He left in a peaceful</p><p>sleep from the Calvary Hospice in Bronx, New York.</p><p><br></p><p>Ken was a resident of Co-Op City, Bronx, New York since July 1971. Before Co-Op City, he lived in</p><p>Brooklyn, Bronx and Manhattan. He was educated at Cardinal Hayes and Columbus High School,</p><p>attended some colleges and graduated from the Police Academy.</p><p><br></p><p>He was united in marriage with Carolyn Larrier in 1966 and to this union2 children were born Michele</p><p>and Kevin.</p><p><br></p><p>Kenneth was employed by the US Air Force, United States Postal Service, NYC Transit Police and the</p><p>United Parcel Services. He was active in the NAACP, a legacy member of the Transit Guardians, a NYC</p><p>Police Council of Retired Guardians Inc and the American Legion Post 1871.</p><p><br></p><p>Ken leaves to cherish his memory his wife Carolyn (Bronx, NY), a daughter Michele and son-in-law Tony</p><p>May (Queens, NY), a son Kevin and daughter in-law Sylvia (Ardsley, NY) 4 grandsons Brandon, Sheldon,</p><p>Jordon and Hunter and a host of niece, grandnieces and grandnephews and other relatives and friends.</p>
