Marilyn E. Eller

<p>Marilyn Eller, of Omaha, Nebraska, aged 83 years, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026.</p><p><br></p><p>She was a cherished mother, sister, cousin, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by husband Ken, daughter Elizabeth (Betsy) and her boyfriend Mark, daughter Nancy (Chris), grandson Paul, sister Elaine, niece Grace, cousin Susan, and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Marilyn was born in Valley Stream, New York on September 16, 1942, to Edwin Stevens Maloney and Winifred Elizabeth Day. She attended Adelphi College for her undergraduate studies and moved to Lawrence, Kansas for her graduate studies in the romance languages at Kansas University. She married Kenneth Eller on August 21, 1965. In 1967, Marilyn and Ken moved to Omaha, Nebraska to begin their careers in teaching Spanish. Marilyn taught at Creighton University and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In the early 1980s, Marilyn attended the Nebraska College of Business, taking accounting courses. She then worked in the actuarial department at Mutual of Omaha for 15 years until her retirement. In 1999, Marilyn and Ken moved to Arkansas to enjoy the Natural State. There, Marilyn loved to swim in the pool, joined the Trailblazers Hiking Club, and began quilting with the Roses Quilting Club. Marilyn loved traveling to Colorado to be in the mountains and also enjoyed visiting the ocean. She loved to play Scrabble.</p><p><br></p><p>Marilyn will be remembered fondly for her witty sense of humor, fierce independence, robust vocabulary, lively facial expressions, and love of animals.</p><p>Our family is so grateful for the loving care she received at Garden View Manor Assisted Living and with the Angels Care Hospice team.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held Friday, August 28, 2026 from 1-2PM, funeral service will begin at 2PM. Burial will be take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p>
